Students & Faculty

  • School Hours (all grades): 8:00 am - 3:15 pm

Curriculum


Cascades Academy offers a challenging college preparatory curriculum that encourages academic excellence at all levels through a highly interactive educational experience. The school's curriculum emphasizes experiential learning, outdoor education, and community service. In addition, small class sizes create a secure learning environment and foster individualized learning.

All grade levels have instruction in language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, Spanish and technology. In addition we teach the following specialty classes:
  • Pre-K: offered by The School of Enrichment
  • K-5: Music, art, yoga, swimming, and creative movement
  • 6-8: Art, PE, and drama
  • 9-12: Choice of electives or individual internships including yearbook, photography, community service, and technology.

Special Programs

  • Fall Confluence leadership campout - Grades 6-12
  • Winter ski program at Mt. Bachelor - All grades
  • Spring traveling school - Grades 3-12
  • Outdoor School - Grades K-5
  • Outdoor Program - Grades 6-12
  • Field trips, field trips, field trips

Community Service

  • 100% of students participate.
  • Students donate an average of 30 hours per student per year.
  • Community service partners include the Adopt-a Trail program, the Humane Society, Healing Reins, and the Ronald McDonald House.
