Jenny travelled across the country from her native California to Burlington, Vermont to earn her BA in Art History from the University of Vermont. She continued her travels east to London earning a post graduate degree from Sotheby's in the Fine and Decorative Arts. She returned west and continued graduate work at the University of Wyoming before settling with her husband in Bend in 1994.
Jenny is no stranger to the educational community of Bend. She worked at a private school when she first arrived in Oregon and taught Art History at Central Oregon Community College before shifting gears in 2003 to become one of the founding board members of Cascades Academy.
While on the board, Jenny has served as chair of the Development Committee and was instrumental in creating the school's first Pop Quiz Auction - an event created to help raise money for the school's scholarship fund. Thanks to her efforts, the Pop Quiz event is the school's largest fundraiser. Through Jenny's leadership with the Development Committee, the school established an endowment fund with the Oregon Community Foundation in 2007.
