Kendra has been actively involved with Cascades Academy since its inception. She helped establish the school's Parents Association prior to being elected co-chair in 2005 and served in this position for two years before joining the board in 2007. As a parent of two Cascades Academy students, Brady who was in the inaugural kindergarten class and Shae who is currently enrolled in the third grade, Kendra has strong ties to the school and the community.
A Central Oregon resident since 1981, Kendra has seen many changes in Bend. Although Bend has grown into a metropolitan city, Kendra still embraces the small town aspects of the community where she was raised.
Prior to her life as a mom, Kendra was employed by American General Finance as a loan officer/licensed insurance agent for seven years and then managed the Redmond office. Currently, Kendra is the office manager for Ridgeline Custom Homes, a construction firm she and her husband Bill, a Battalion Chief with the City of Bend Fire Department, co-founded with their partner, Nate, in 2002.
Kendra is a member of the Fire Department Auxiliary and served as Vice-president for one term. In her free time, Kendra enjoys playing in the sun, chasing derelict cows, reading, and spending time with her family.
