Brian Kent
Middle & Upper School, Math & Science

Brian teaches math in the middle and upper schools, science in the upper school, and is also the 9th/10th grade advisor. He has called Bend his home since he was three years old. Brian graduated with a B.A. from Carroll College in Helena, MT, as a pre-medical student majoring in Biology and minoring in Philosophy. His passion for teaching was stirred before he started medical school, though, and he shifted gears and enrolled at George Fox University. There, Brian earned his Master of Arts in Teaching with authorizations in middle and high school and endorsements in Advanced Mathematics and Physics.

Amid all that schooling, Brian's list of hobbies and interests kept and continue to keep him sane and happy. He enjoys hiking, biking, backpacking, running, and all sorts of outdoor distractions. He also loves music, whether he's listening to it or playing it. The most fun, of course, comes when spending time with his wife, Marina, and his children, Gracie and Elliott.
