Libby grew up in the Portland, Oregon with a dad who taught at the college level and worked as an ocean salmon fisherman during the summers. To this day, Libby's sister remains her best friend. Libby's mother's claim to fame was winning a blue ribbon at the Multnomah County Fair for her dill pickles. Today, Libby lives in Bend with her champion-golfer husband Charlie, her almost-driving-permit-holding daughter Madeline, her duct-tape wallet making son Robert, four chickens, two cats, and one terribly spoiled but lovely dog Angie.
Over her almost 15-year career in the classroom, Libby's favorite teaching positions have been in the lower school. Currently teaching a first and second grade blend, Libby was inspired this summer by a Storyline drama workshop and looks forward to bringing some process drama exercises into the classroom. Professionally, Libby holds a BA, MAT, and Oregon Teaching License.
