Becca Schroeder
Middle School, English & Drama

Becca teaches 6th grade English and Middle School Drama. As a daughter of a U.S. Coast Guard officer, she has lived in many places, but calls St. Louis home. She graduated with a BS in English and MA in Elementary Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, but her love is teaching middle school. She moved to Bend in June from Saipan, the largest island in the Northern Mariana Islands, where she taught middle school social studies and math for two years at Mount Carmel School and middle school English and math at Saipan International School for five years.

While on Saipan, Becca enjoyed getting involved in the school community through coaching soccer, basketball, and volleyball, as well as advising numerous clubs. She also made an impact in the local community as a co-founder of a non-profit soccer club and as the goalkeeper for the NMI Women%u2019s National Team.

Although Becca is new to the Pacific Northwest, she and her husband are thrilled to explore a whole new terrain and set of activities together. In particular, they enjoy all of the hiking opportunities Central Oregon has to offer and look forward to participating in winter sports for the first time in 7 years. When she%u2019s not outside, Becca%u2019s other hobbies include reading anything that looks interesting and playing the ukulele.
