Becky Daenzer
Lower School, Kindergarten

Becky grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Frequent trips to the Sierras, the ocean and the rolling hills of the bay inspired her love of nature, art, people and a genuine desire to EXPLORE. She studied architecture at the University of Oregon and earned her undergraduate degree in Humanities in 2003. Early travels throughout Europe and South America formed her identity as a person and a teacher. After living in a small town in France for a summer and working with teachers to rebuild historic ruins, Becky returned to the states with a new purpose. Volunteer work at two community schools in Eugene, an internship at a mountain pre-school in Jackson, WY and four years teaching at a small Waldorf pre-school led her toward earning her MAT in 2007. She loves sharing the joys and adventures of early childhood with her students. Becky is continually improving her knowledge of the storyline method, and recently attended her first International Storyline Conference! She is excited to be a part of the CACO community and sees this as an experience not only to teach, but to learn and grow as an educator. Becky can be found hiking, skiing, reading or tending to her urban chickens along with her husband John, young daughter Nina and three-legged dog, Jack.
