Kindergarten Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Cascades Academy of Central Oregon. We hope the following outline will help make the application process as easy as possible.

Step 1: Learn about Cascades Academy

• Research our website. Don't miss the school video and the school weblog.
• Call the school with any additional questions.
• Call the school to schedule a tour of our campus.
• Request an application from the admissions office or download an application.

Step 2: Visit the School

• We welcome visits any time of year.
• Visits typically last 30-45 minutes with one of our school administrators.

Step 3: Submit an Application

• Please submit an application no later than March 6, 2009. (If you have missed the March 6, 2009, due date, please skip to step 6. We appreciate receiving applications as early as possible.
• Submit all application materials including the application form, application fee, student records, teacher recommendation and scholarship application (if applicable).
• Once we receive a completed application, we will confirm your child's participation in our kindergarten admissions afternoon.

Step 4: Kindergarten Admissions a.k.a. "Meet the Teacher Day" March 13, 2009

• Prospective kindergarten students spend the afternoon, between 1:00 and 3:00 pm, with the kindergarten teacher and another faculty member doing group activities as well as individual assessments.
• There will be a question and answer session from 1:00-1:30pm for those parents who wish to stay.

Step 5: Acceptances will be mailed by April 15, 2009.

Step 6: Rolling Acceptances Based on Availability

• If you have missed the above admissions due date, simply contact the school directly to check on space availability. We will accept applications after the deadline for any classes that are not full. We currently still do have space in our kindergarten program for 2009-2010.
