Thank you for your interest in Cascades Academy of Central Oregon. We hope the following outline will help make the application process as straightforward as possible.

Step 1: Learn about Cascades Academy

Research our website. Don't miss the school video, slide show, and weblog.
Call the school with any additional questions.
Call the school to schedule a tour of our campus.
Request an application from the admissions office or download a lower school application.

Step 2: Visit the School

We welcome visits any time of year.
Visits typically last 30-45 minutes with one of our school administrators. During this time, parents may be interviewed by the Head of School or Admissions Director.

Step 3: Submit an Application

Cascades Academy has a rolling admissions process. Please submit your application as soon as possible to ensure a space is available.
Submit all application materials including the application form, application fee, student records, teacher recommendation, and scholarship application (if applicable).
Once we receive a completed application, we will call you to schedule an official visit.

Step 4: Schedule a Student and Parent Interview

Lower school students should visit for a half-day, typically from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Students visit their current grade and participate in all activities of the morning. During that time, the classroom teacher will make individual assessments of the student's enthusiasm and ability.
Parents should plan on spending 30 minutes during this time with the Admissions Director if they did not already do so during a school tour.

Please note: Some applicants may need to be tested for admission prior to receiving an enrollment contract. We will contact you should the student need to be tested. Previous standardized tests often meet this criterion.

Step 5: Initial acceptances will be mailed by March 10, 2010.

Step 6: Rolling Acceptances Based on Availability

If you have missed the above admissions due date, simply contact the school directly to check on space availability. We will accept applications after the deadline for any classes that are not full.
