I got to school, unpacked my backpack and said hi to my friends. Then I headed to the community room with my class. We're celebrating the Winter Olympics during community time. I'm representing Germany on the luge team!

8:30 to 9:00
We wrote in our journals this morning. I wrote about my favorite sports and about athletes that I admired, like Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning.

9:00 to 10:00
I worked on some fun math problems in my Math Trailblazers book, and then our whole class played a game using multiplication tables.

10:00 to 10:30
Recess was a blast today! We played blob tag with the fourth and fifth graders. It's the coolest game ever.

10:30 to 10:45
Snack time! I was really hungry after blob tag. I ate a peanut butter bar and a green apple and pretzels.

10:45 to 11:30
We're reading Because of Winn-Dixie in class. I like this book because the dog Winn-Dixie helps the girl make friends and helps her feel better when she's sad. I think we get to watch the movie on Friday.

11:30 to 12:00
Computer lab! We're learning how to use Powerpoint and make slide shows. I'm making a slide show about Oregon. We're all going to present our Powerpoint projects to the class when we're done.

12:00 to 1:00
Recess time. I played dodgeball with my friends, and we basically ran around the yard a lot. I hope it's going to snow soon!

1:00 to 1:45
I had Language Arts today, and I'm going to do a make a huge diorama about the book I'm reading. I already have an idea of what I'm going to put in it. It's going to be awesome.

1:45 to 2:30
In Spanish class, we're learning about different holidays and customs, and today we even got to try some samples of different fruit. Tomorrow we have music and on Fridays we have art class.

2:30 to 3:05
We're studying the different regions of the U.S. during Social Studies. I'm doing a report on the Northeastern region because it's really different from where we live. I hope we can go visit New England or Pennsylvania some time.

3:05 to 3:15
We packed up our backpacks and talked about our field trip tomorrow to the High Desert museum. We're going to learn about the work that paleontologists do and then we're going to divide into research groups and do a simulated fossil dig.
