The Beauty and Magic of Traveling School
As our fourth and fifth graders are making their way back to Bend from their adventures on the Oregon Trail this week, and the second and third graders are still teaching us new camp songs from their adventures at Camp Collins, I am reminded of this quote by Mark Twain:

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness... Broad, wholesome, charitable views of people and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."

Thank you, families, for entrusting us with your children so they can experience the gift of travel that is so crucial to their development. And thank you, teachers, for providing such rich and memorable experiences for our students.

We believe that when we can give our students the gift of traveling school, our world will truly become a better place.

May the adventure continue!
