Cascades Academy offers Extended Day Care for its PK students. Since the PK day ends at 2:30, students in the PK classroom can extend their stay to 3:30. Extended Day is designed to be a time for the PK'er to spend an hour in the library reading books, outside playing on the playground, eating snacks, having choice time, and playing with other PK friends. This time is free of charge and offers an opportunity for students to connect with their older siblings at dismissal or transition to the After Care program at 3:30.
After Care
Aftercare runs Monday–Thursday from 3:30–5:30 pm and Fridays from 3:30–5:00 pm. The cost is $14/day with advance registration through the Aftercare Portal or $19/day at the drop-in rate, billed to school accounts. We ask families to sign up ahead of time so we can staff and plan activities appropriately, as well as to avoid the higher drop-in fee. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours in advance, with illness and emergencies handled on a case-by-case basis. If your child is not picked up by 3:45pm, they will automatically be sent to Aftercare and a drop-in fee will be charged. If your child is registered for an After School Enrichment Class, they may join Aftercare until the class begins. If you would like your child to attend Aftercare AFTER the class ends, please be sure to sign them up. Aftercare takes place on the playground and in the library, with parent pick-up at the main entrance.
