9/14-12/9, $575 *NOTE* No classes the week of Thanksgiving Break Join Cascades Academy's award-winning LEGO League Robotics Team, led by our wonderful Mr. Sebastian, who has guided our students to success for three consecutive years! Meeting twice weekly, this high-energy program empowers students to collaborate, unleash their creative problem-solving skills, and build and program custom LEGO robots for December's winter competition. Your registration cost covers all official team entry fees, materials, and an exclusive team t-shirt—providing a fantastic, hands-on STEAM experience where young innovators thrive together.

Little Oms + Bowls- Yoga + Sound for Littles is a playful experience curated to help young children move, breathe, & relax through gentle yoga, rhythm, & soothing sound. Kids explore simple yoga poses, mindful breathing, fun movement games, story time, & calming sound experiences with instruments like singing bowls & chimes. Each class encourages creativity, body awareness, & emotional regulation while giving little ones a peaceful way to wind down after a busy school day. this joyful experience supports focus, confidence & calm, helping children build healthy tools for both body & mind. Steph Radkay brings warmth, playfulness, & compassion to every class, helping children feel safe, seen, & confident while learning healthy ways to move, breathe, relax, & express themselves. With an energetic spirit, lighthearted sense of humor, & deep empathy, she creates a fun & supportive environment where kids can build confidence, reduce stress & anxiety, & connect with both themselves & others. After experiencing firsthand the effects of stress, loss, intense careers, injuries & overworked muscles, Steph became passionate about helping others, especially children, develop tools for balance, resilience, self-love, & inner calme from an early age. Her teaching blends movement, mindfulness, music, rhythm, & relaxation to support the whole child: mind, body, spirit, & soul. Steph is a 95-hour Certified Kids Yoga Teacher through Namaspa & holds certifications as a Generation Pound Pr, Pound Pro, Reiki Master Teacher, & in Crystal Singing Bowls, Tuning Forks, & the Crystal Harp. She loves incorporating rhythm, music, creativity, & calming sound experiences into her classes to make wellmes approachable & fun for all ages. Alongside her husband of 32 years, Steph valuse laughter, connection, health, & joyful living. She is honored to share those values with the community. Need a dedicated time to crush your weekly assignments? Join the Homework Huddle led by our respected educator, Mr. Pat! This after-school session provides a structured, quiet environment for students to focus and complete their homework. Mr. Pat offers general guidance and accountability to help students build strong, independent study habits. It's a great opportunity to get a feel for Mr. Pat's excellent academic support. 9/16-10/28, $285 Take your culinary skills to the next level with Holistic Journey's own Teresa Marino. This class is designed for older students ready to explore advanced cooking techniques and nutrition science. Junior Chefs will learn to use kitchen tools to make homemade meals and customized snacks. In this vibrant "Little Chefs" series, children develop essential kitchen confidence—from mastering safe chopping and measuring to exploring the art of mixing nutritious flavors. With a focus on "eating the rainbow," students will discover how colorful, whole foods fuel their bodies for peak play and learning while creating tasty, healthy snacks they can recreate at home. Every session is designed to foster independence and a lifelong love for nutrition, with the registration price conveniently including all food costs for our weekly culinary creations.
Think Wild Wildlife conservation for grades 2-5

10/1-12/3, $375 Step into the boots of a wildlife biologist with Think Wild for an immersive, hands-on exploration of Central Oregon’s diverse high-desert ecosystems and the complex issues surrounding local human-wildlife conflict. This engaging program offers a rare, face-to-face look at native wildlife through special visits from live animal ambassadors—rescued local wildlife unable to return to the wild—whose individual stories illustrate the vital role each species plays in our shared environment. Whether trekking outdoors to study local habitats, analyzing real-world conservation challenges, or exploring exciting career paths in wildlife biology and rehabilitation, students will gain practical field insights and learn compassionate solutions for helping native species and human communities thrive together. https://www.thinkwildco.org/
After School Care
PK Extended Day, 2:30-3:30 pm, M-F
Cascades Academy offers Extended Day Care for its PK students. Since the PK day ends at 2:30, students in the PK classroom can extend their stay to 3:30. Extended Day is designed to be a time for the PK'er to spend an hour in the library reading books, outside playing on the playground, eating snacks, having choice time, and playing with other PK friends. This time is free of charge and offers an opportunity for students to connect with their older siblings at dismissal or transition to the After Care program at 3:30.
After Care
Aftercare runs Monday–Thursday from 3:30–5:30 pm and Fridays from 3:30–5:00 pm. The cost is $15/day with advance registration through the Aftercare Portal or $20/day at the drop-in rate, billed to school accounts. We ask families to sign up ahead of time so we can staff and plan activities appropriately, as well as to avoid the higher drop-in fee. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours in advance, with illness and emergencies handled on a case-by-case basis. If your child is not picked up by 3:45pm, they will automatically be sent to Aftercare and a drop-in fee will be charged. If your child is registered for an After School Enrichment Class, they may join Aftercare until the class begins. If you would like your child to attend Aftercare AFTER the class ends, please be sure to sign them up. Aftercare takes place on the playground and in the den, with parent pick-up at the main entrance. NOTE: When Registering for Aftercare, please be sure to first put the day of the week in your cart (e.g. April Wednesdays) and THEN add the specific date(s) you are registering for (e.g. Wednesday April 8th) or it won't secure your spot.
Early Release Care
Once a month, Cascades Academy dismisses at 2:00 in order to provide extended planning and meeting time to its teachers. During these early release days, PK-5 grade students can sign up to be part of the After Care program. Specific Early Release dates are posted on the All-School calendar. Feel free to reserve a spot for your child in the portal at your earliest convenience. Please note: If your child is signed up for an After School Enrichment Class on an Early Release Day, they can come to Aftercare free of charge.
Day Camp
On days when there is no school due to teacher/staff work days, we offer Day Camp from 8am-4pm for $97 registered and $135 drop-in. Students should bring 2 snacks and a lunch as well as a water bottle and good walking shoes. Feel free to reserve a spot for your child in the Aftercare Portal at your earliest convenience.
Cancelation and Late Pick Up Policy
Cancellation policies are clearly stated within the registration system. We are happy to cancel your Aftercare registration if you reach out to let us know ahead of time as we staff for the registered number of students each day. Late pick up fee is $3/minute after 5:30 on Monday-Thursday and after 5pm on Fridays. Your school account will be charged at the end of the term.
We run Enrichment Classes based on the minimum number of students. For this reason we cannot provide refunds for classes that have already begun. If you have a situation with an emergency or illness, please reach out to our auxiliary team at auxiliary@cascadesacademy.org
