LEGO Robotics
Mondays/Wednesdays 3:45-5:15, Grades 3-5

Be a part of Cascades Academy's FIRST LEGO League robotics team! This group will meet twice a week to program and design a LEGO robot for a competition this Winter. This fun-filled program includes several opportunities for students to learn, work together, enhance their building and programming skills, and be creative in the STEM fields!
Cost includes entry to the competition, team registration for the FIRST LEGO robotics organization, and a team t-shirt.
Pound and Sound

Popular at our June Outdoor School, this class is part catchin' the beat, part fitness, part relaxation, part creativity, part teamwork, part release and all fun! Start class with movement and music to improve focus, coordination, physical fitness, communication, and teamwork skills for “Rockstars in Training."
Drama CLUB
Wednesdays 3:45-4:45pm, Grades 3-6

Want a little more "drama" in your life? Cascades Academy's Performing Arts Teacher, Erin Maxon, leads this fun introduction to drama for third through sixth graders on Wednesdays. Students will get out those after-school wiggles by working as an ensemble, playing lots of active theatre games, and ending the 8-week session with an informal performance of their work. No prior theatre experience is necessary.
Chess

Dungeons and Dragons

A fun and inclusive club for students to come together and learn the necessary skills to play the timeless Role Playing Game, Dungeons & Dragons. This Dungeons and Dragons Club is intended for adventurers of any level, whether beginner or experienced, to join together and learn the ins and outs of the ever-popular tabletop roleplaying game. We will embark on an 8-week journey by creating our own adventuring characters and heading through the whimsical yet challenging world of swords and sorcery. Here, we will solve puzzles, battle goblins and dragons, as well as search for long-lost treasure with our fellow heroes. We would love to welcome some new students to this class this fall. Come join our fearless team for an unforgettable adventure for the ages!
After School Care
PK Extended Day, 2:30-3:30 pm, M-F
Cascades Academy offers Extended Day Care for its PK students. Since the PK day ends at 2:30, students in the PK classroom can extend their stay to 3:30. Extended Day is designed to be a time for the PK'er to spend an hour in the library reading books, eating snacks, having choice time, and playing with other PK friends. This time is free of charge and offers an opportunity for students to connect with their older siblings at dismissal or transition to the After Care program at 3:30.
After Care
After Care is available after school dismisses from 3:30-5:30 pm Mondays through Thursdays and 3:30-5:00 pm on Fridays. The cost of After Care is either $18.50/day for the drop in rate (billed to the parents' school account after each term) or $13.50/day with registering through our Aftercare Portal.
Please note: you are welcome to register for and then pay for one month at a time or 20 days at a time, as this is taking the place of our previous Punch Pass system.

After Care will be held both outside on the playground and in the library, and parent pick-up will take place through the main entrance.
Early Release Care
Once a month, Cascades Academy dismisses at 2:00 in order to provide extended planning and meeting time to its teachers. During these early release days, PK-5 grade students can sign up to be part of the After Care program. Specific Early Release dates are posted on the All-School calendar. Feel free to reserve a spot for your child in the portal at your earliest convenience.
Day Camp
On days when there is no school due to teacher/staff work days, we offer Day Camp from 8am-4pm for $89. Students should bring 2 snacks and a lunch as well as a water bottle and good walking shoes. Feel free to reserve a spot for your child in the Aftercare Portal at your earliest convenience.
