Senior Legacy Project
The tradition of the Senior Legacy Project at Cascades Academy began with the class of 2014, with the moving and set-up of the building known on campus as the "Coffee Hut". The Legacy Project is a service-oriented project that leaves a tangible benefit to the local community. Students work as a class to create their project, detail a timeline of different tasks to be completed, choose mentors to help them through the process, draw up a business plan if fundraising or sales are involved and design a culminating presentation that clearly displays the process of the project.
The Class of 2019 is fundraising to provide free-standing lending libraries on the campus of Cascades Academy, as well as in Bend and Tumalo. The senior class are Betsy Green, Solena Montalieu, Riley Paine and Imani Shinn. They designed a Legacy logo for winter hats that will be sold to raise money for material to build the libraries. Each hat is being offered for $15, however, if a purchaser wishes to contribute more toward the project that option is available on the form below. There are a limited number of hats available in each color. Each student chose a color that represents joy and wellness for them individually. Hats will be available for pick up on the last day of school, June 12.
Hats are a cuffed, knit beanie with the new Steelhead Legacy patch on the cuff, available in four colors: Aqua, Electric Blue, Gold and Crimson:
