Inspiring Future Change-Makers

Instilling a sense of social responsibility in our students has been part of Cascades Academy's mission since its founding. Our goal is for our students to go out into the world and do their part to make it a better place, and we actively promote a lifestyle that recognizes the importance of helping out and giving back to our community.

What can I do for my community? What can I do for the world? These are some of the questions students seek to answer through this work. Our approach integrates meaningful outreach opportunities with academic study and reflective practice to enrich learning, build civic engagement, and strengthen community.  

We believe creating an authentic connection between what students learn in school and what occurs in their community enhances critical thinking and teamwork skills.  Students make personal connections with critical issues, creating significant opportunities for social, emotional, and cognitive learning and development.
